Sunchasers Claim 4-1 Win
|
Starting pitcher Tetsunori Arai did his part in helping the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers thwart the Riverside Wolverines, 4-1. Arai yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 9-4. Jose Pinedo picked up his 4th save of the season.
Sunrise Manor took the lead, 4-0, on Jerry O'Dell's 13th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Riverside pitcher Roberto Lopez in the bottom of the seventh.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Arai.
The win puts the Sunchasers at 45-77, while the Wolverines drop to 47-75.
