The Riverside Wolverines outlasted Chris Stivers and the Haviland Thrashers, 9-8. Stivers was impressive in the loss. The Haviland third baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Antonino Sauli closed the game out for Riverside, earning his 25th save. Riverside has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Kyle Himes helped out the Riverside cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder drew 1 walk.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Chris Rauch.
