Nationals Rally Late to Nip Wolverines
The Riverside Wolverines and Jacksonville Nationals provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Jacksonville Nationals powered past the Riverside Wolverines, 8-7, at Wolverines Ballpark. George Gericke went 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, to lead the charge. The win went to Eddie Clickner in relief, making him now 3-3. Dermot Howe took the loss for Riverside. Zack Scott closed it out for his 3rd save.

David Short aided the Jacksonville cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman was 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Short.

Jacksonville now sits at 61-58, while Riverside falls to 63-56.
