Sled Dogs Score Late to Beat Killers, 15-14
The Juneau Sled Dogs beat the Crystal Lake Killers in a game in which both teams scored early and often. The final score was 15-14, Sled Dogs. One of the hitting stars was designated hitter John Breshears. Breshears, who is tied for 10th in the SC in doubles with 36, was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Steve Pyburn was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Tony Becerra. Juneau now sports a record of 76-39.

The decisive blow was delivered by John Marr in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Becerra to win the game for Juneau. The home crowd went nuts.

In comments to the Juneau Chronicle, Marr admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
