Riverside Absorbs 4-2 Loss to Crystal Lake
|
Crystal Lake Killers starter Jamari Walker was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Riverside Wolverines, 4-2. The win belonged to Antonio Najera in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Jose Moncion took the loss for Riverside. Brian Kyzar recorded the save for Crystal Lake, his 10th of the season.
Crystal Lake took a 2-1 lead on Pete DiBiaso's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which DiBiaso hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Riverside pitcher Jose Moncion visibly frustrated.
"Jamari throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Crystal Lake manager Steve Warzecha.
With the win, Crystal Lake upped its record to 70-44.
