Juneau Slaps 5-3 Loss on Jacksonville
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Juneau Sled Dogs and Jacksonville Nationals.
A 3-RBI performance from catcher Angel de la Cruz led the Juneau Sled Dogs to a win over the Jacksonville Nationals, 5-3. Bill Guerrero earned save number 7 this season.
de la Cruz had a timely hit for Juneau in the bottom of the sixth. With Juneau trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-2 knuckle curve into a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season, making it 4-3, Juneau.
de la Cruz called the win "a team effort."
The Sled Dogs saw their win-loss record go to 51-65. At the same time, the Nationals fell to 89-27.
