Wolverines Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Riverside Wolverines outlasted the Haviland Thrashers in an extra-inning thriller.

The Riverside Wolverines picked up a win at Ballpark of Haviland, taking down the Haviland Thrashers, 5-4. Starting pitcher Javier Alba was a big reason why. The winner was Riverside reliever Alex Gomez, now 7-3. The loser was Orlando Yepez.

Riverside used a clutch hit from Kyle Young to snatch the win. The pinch hitter belted a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"This team's hitting on all cylinders," said Wolverines manager Chris Rauch.

Riverside has now reeled off 8 straight wins.
