Brooks Hits 2 home runs in Earthquakes Win
No one was more impactful than Marc Brooks in the 17-10 Ft. Wayne win over Jacksonville. Brooks, who is tied for 10th in the SC with a .766 slugging percentage, hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 7. Martino Pistilli was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was Mike Riddle. The loss makes Jacksonville 62-50.

With Ft. Wayne leading 11-7 in the bottom of the sixth, Brooks came up to bat against Jacksonville pitcher Victor Joya. Brooks hit a fastball to right for a grand slam home run. His 25th home run of the season put the Earthquakes on top, 15-7.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Brooks told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
