In a low-scoring contest, Buckeye Local pitcher Freddy Valenzuela was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. David Morris snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 2.2 innings. He's now 1-1 on the season. The 5th-place Panthers go to 47-63.
Buckeye Local went in front, 3-1, on Dave Walby's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Walby hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sunrise Manor pitcher Will Olejnik visibly perturbed.
"Every loss stings," said Sunrise Manor manager Shawn Banks. "This one is no exception."
