Riverside Wolverines starter Jose Escobedo was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 4-2. The Wolverines raised their record to 55-55.

With one out in the top of the seventh, Jim Hamilton had a game-changing hit. The Wolverines left fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Jonathan Gutierrez, making the score 3-1, Riverside.

After the game, Riverside manager Matt Augustus applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
