The rain came, as predicted, but the Chuluota Imperials and San Antonio Griffins were able to complete their ballgame.

The Chuluota Imperials defeated the San Antonio Griffins, 14-7. Doing his part was third baseman Jonathan Medrano, who was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. The win was credited to 19-year old left-handed pitcher Roberto Morales in relief. His record improves to 5-4. Jim Unknown took the loss.

Chuluota took control in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Kevin Thomas hit a run-scoring single to make it 7-6, Imperials.

Chuluota manager was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.

The 5th-place Griffins have dropped 5 straight games.
