Chuluota took on Corpus Christi in front of a lively crowd.

Chuluota center fielder Jared Staley helped his team beat the Corpus Christi Texans, 9-3. Staley, who is tied for 4th in the SC in stolen bases with 33, went 2 for 3 for the Imperials. With the win, Chuluota pushed its record to 64-45.

With Chuluota leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Staley hit a sinker from Gil Backos for a 2-run home run. It was his 75th home run of the season and put the Imperials ahead, 3-0.

"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Staley.
