Imperials 6-3 Winners Versus Sunrise Manor
|
The Chuluota Imperials dealt the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers a 6-3 loss at Field of the Sunchasers. Mike Gray, who is tied for 10th in the SC in RBI with 67, was the star on offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner was Adam Coleman in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Christian Chervenka took the loss. Jim Unknown earned the save for Chuluota, his 1st of the year.
There was more than one reason the Imperials beat the Sunchasers, but Gray's big at-bat in the top of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
Chuluota manager Victor Gonzalez was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
With the win, Chuluota goes to 48-57, while the Sunchasers fall to 35-70.
