In the 7-4 Chuluota win over Riverside, the impact of Rob Black was substantial. Black, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2021 draft, went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Damian Garriga snagged the win in relief. He goes to 8-3 on the season. Dave Martinez suffered the loss. With the victory, the Imperials upped their record to 52-48.

It could have been a different outcome for Chuluota, had it not been for Jason Grimsley, the 21-year old catcher . Grimsley contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the eighth inning to put Chuluota up, 6-4.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Grimsley said. "That's why you play the game."
