Sled Dogs Win, 9-8, in Extra Frames
The inspired effort of Sunrise Manor center fielder Jorge Gonzales was not enough to prevent a loss, 9-8, to the Juneau Sled Dogs. Gonzales went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Juneau reliever Victor Meza picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Josh Van Nice was saddled with the loss. The 'W' lifts Juneau's record to 42-57.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Juneau pinch hitter Angel de la Cruz, facing Josh Van Nice, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Sled Dogs the 9-8 win.

"This game tested our mettle," said de la Cruz.
