Thrashers Come Back Late, Nip Sunchasers
The Haviland Thrashers dealt the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers a 6-5 loss at Field of the Sunchasers. Ben Shafer was the star on offense. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Keith Jong notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 4-3. Haviland has now won 3 straight, while the Sunchasers have lost 3 in a row.

Fernando Espindola delivered a big hit for Haviland. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Thrashers ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
