Haviland Thrashers starter Chris Schreurs found his groove in his team's 2-1 win over the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers. Jaheim Sneed picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Dave Gonzalez was tagged with the loss. Tony Wooten recorded the save for Haviland, his 7th of the season.

Haviland used the timely hitting of Chris Stivers to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Thrashers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Sunrise Manor manager Shawn Banks.

The Thrashers bumped their record to 55-44 with this win.
