Pete DiBiaso did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Crystal Lake Killers from being beaten, 9-5, to the Haviland Thrashers at Ballpark of Haviland. DiBiaso was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The 'W' lifts Haviland's record to 63-35.

Li-ren Ning was a prime contributor to the Haviland win. He was 1 for 5. In the bottom of the third with two out, the 19-year old third baseman hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-2, in favor of the Thrashers.

Afterward, Crystal Lake manager Steve Warzecha said: "Every team has a bad week."
