The Chuluota Imperials, despite a fine performance by Riverside pitcher Paul Pedley, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Wolverines Ballpark. Pedley allowed 2 runs over 8.2 innings. Chuluota, at 63-35, sits in third place in the Southern Conference East Division.

Chuluota used a clutch hit from Alex Velazquez to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Imperials ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Chuluota manager Larry Voltaire.
