Salvador Fonzarelli, who is tied for 6th in the SC in innings pitched with 100.2, never let the Thrashers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Panthers to a win, 3-1. Buckeye Local reliever Mike Corrales got the win, raising his record to 2-7. Max Mascareno was tagged with the loss. Buckeye Local, at 42-51, holds down 4th place in the Southern Conference East Division.

Buckeye Local got a knockout punch from Dan Scott. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Scott said.
