5-4 Wolverines Win over Imperials Evens Season Record
The Riverside Wolverines picked up a win at Wolverines Ballpark, topping the Chuluota Imperials, 5-4. On the mound for Riverside was left-hander Josh Howard. He played a principal role in the triumph. Howard, now 2-0, was the winner. In 8.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 4, and allowing 4 runs. Dermot Howe got the save, his 3rd in 3 chances.

Riverside took a 5-4 lead on John Pavao's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Pavao hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Chuluota pitcher Jose Chavez visibly frustrated.

"Josh has got a slow heartbeat," said Riverside manager Matt Augustus. "He doesn't panic or anything."

With the victory, the Wolverines upped their record to 47-47.
