A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Antonio Griffins and Buckeye Local Panthers.

The San Antonio Griffins stormed past the Buckeye Local Panthers, 13-2, at Griffins Field. San Antonio second basemanRalph Beller led the hit parade. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win belonged to Jim Unknown in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Luis Castillo took the loss for Buckeye Local.

The Griffins got an important contribution from shortstop Carlos Macedo, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 2-2 fastball to center for a 2-run double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Griffins ahead, 3-0.

"It kind of got out of hand on us there," said losing manager Seung-soo Chun.
