The timely hitting of Mike Chaloux helped the Crystal Lake Killers take down the Jacksonville Nationals, 5-4, in 12 innings. Chaloux hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Killers. Crystal Lake improves to 52-39 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Eric Stogdill in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Trevor Hill to win the game for Crystal Lake. The home crowd went nuts.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Jacksonville manager Zack Glomski.
