The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes weathered an outstanding game by Riverside left fielder Edgar Ramos to topple the Wolverines, 3-2. Ramos was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. The Earthquakes improved to a lofty 70-21.

With two out in the bottom of the sixth, John Hall put Ft. Wayne in front, 3-1, with a run-scoring single. The Earthquakes went on to win the ballgame.

"I still think this team can play even better," Hall told the Ft. Wayne Gazette.
