Dean dejong was locked in. The right-hander led the Jacksonville Nationals to a 4-3 win against the Chuluota Imperials at Imperials Ballpark. Eric Grace was credited with the save for Jacksonville, his 13th of the season. The loss makes Chuluota 48-43.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Matt Higgins? The 20-year old second baseman Higgins stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Jacksonville up, 4-3. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Jacksonville manager Zack Glomski.
