San Bernardino Flight starter Robbie Lozada was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Riverside Wolverines, 3-2. Lozada, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 5 walks. Oscar Garcia got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.
San Bernardino used the hitting of Josh Chadwick to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Flight on top, 2-1. For the game, Chadwick had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Riverside manager Matt Augustus. "We just didn't cash in."
The win cannot erase the fact that San Bernardino still has a disappointing 31-60 record.
