Earthquakes Handle Riverside, Snag 11-1 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 20-year old second baseman Beau Richardson, the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes stopped the Riverside Wolverines, 11-1, in 9 innings. Hugo Reyes snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2 innings. He's now 2-0 on the season. The Earthquakes lead the Southern Conference East Division by 15 games.

With Ft. Wayne leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Richardson batted against Riverside pitcher Paul Pedley. Richardson hit a sinker to left for a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season put the Earthquakes on top, 5-1.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Riverside manager Matt Augustus. "We got trounced."
