Behind a fine performance from Ronnie Arceri, the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers knocked off the Crystal Lake Killers, 13-2. Arceri was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Sunchasers. The third-place Sunchasers are now 51-37, the Killers 50-38.

Rich Kotlar had a big 2-run home run for the Sunchasers in the bottom of the third inning. With Sunrise Manor trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a cutter from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Billy Kaufman and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Sunchasers on top, 3-2.

Crystal Lake manager Steve Warzecha said: "The beauty of this game is games like this only count as one loss."
