Behind a fine performance from Steve Fites, the San Bernardino Flight knocked off the Biloxi Jackpot, 7-5. Fites hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Flight. San Bernardino is now 34-53.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With San Bernardino trailing 5-4, Fites jumped on a splitter from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Unknown and hit a 3-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Flight had a walk-off win.
