Riverside and Jacksonville played a hard-fought contest.

In a low-scoring clash between Riverside and Jacksonville, pitcher Melvin Flores was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Wolverines win. Flores got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs.

Riverside used the bat of Paul Adam to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wolverines ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Riverside skipper Matt Augustus.

The Wolverines now own a record of 42-44.
