The Riverside Wolverines knocked off the Haviland Thrashers, 11-9, at Wolverines Ballpark. Don Hutchison was a big reason Riverside won. The right fielder went 2 for 2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Dave Martinez. He's now 3-4. He went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits for the Wolverines. Antonino Sauli picked up his 17th save of the season.

With Riverside trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the third, Hutchison hit a changeup from Tony Martinez for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 7-4.

"If you were looking for a pitchers' duel," said Hutchison, "this wasn't it."
