Wolverines Take Home 4-2 Win Over Ft. Wayne
The Riverside Wolverines dealt the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes a 4-2 loss at Wolverines Ballpark. Corey Tobin was the star on offense. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Danny Vasquez, the winner, is now 5-5. He struck out 4 and walked 2 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 10 hits. The first-place Wolverines are now 57-29, the Earthquakes 67-19.

The Wolverines got an important contribution from third baseman Steve Taylor, who in the bottom of the fifth punched a 2-2 curveball to left-center for a run-scoring double. It was his 22nd double of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 3-1.

Riverside manager Matt Augustus called it "a darn good win."
