Haviland left fielder D'Andre Lyons was sensational. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Corpus Christi beat the Thrashers, 6-4. Jim Unknown nailed down his 1st save. Corpus Christi, with the win, is 29-55.

Tom Riggins had a big 2-run home run for the Texans in the bottom of the third inning. With Corpus Christi leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Bobby Pfau, who is tied for 8th in the SC with a 8.9 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 14th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Texans ahead, 5-2.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Riggins. "You've got to get results."
