Thrashers Suffer 5-3 Home Loss
The Jacksonville Nationals defeated the Haviland Thrashers, 5-3, at Ballpark of Haviland. Leading the charge for Jacksonville was second baseman Edwin Retana. He went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The Nationals improved their record to 40-43 with the win over Haviland.

In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, Retana came to the plate. He hit a sacrifice fly off Adam Noland to put the Nationals in the lead, 2-1.

"Winning never gets dull," said Retana.
