The Sunrise Manor Sunchasers used the hitting of designated hitter Jorge Avila to subdue the Riverside Wolverines, 8-5. For the game, Avila was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The second-place Wolverines dropped to 40-43.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Avila hit a fastball from Matheus Arispe for a 3-run home run. The Sunchasers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Now that's what I call an exciting game," said Sunchasers manager Shawn Banks.
