Ft. Wayne Earthquakes starter Ray LeCain pitched a strong game against the Crystal Lake Killers at Killer Stadium, leading the Earthquakes to victory, 7-1. LeCain, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up no walks. The Earthquakes improved to a lofty 68-12.

Ft. Wayne used the hitting of Jerry Konas to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 3-0. For the game, Konas had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"That's what makes it fun -- everybody's jacked up because of the way we've been winning," said Ft. Wayne manager Du-sung Moon.
