Multi-HR Game for Gomez in 6-3 Win
A good performance from third baseman Joaquin Gomez helped the Riverside Wolverines defeat the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 6-3. Gomez was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Wolverines. Riverside reliever Melvin Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Eddie Carver absorbed the loss. The Southern Conference West Division-leading Wolverines are 44-36.

Riverside went in front, 5-2, on John Pavao's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Pavao hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Sunrise Manor pitcher Eddie Carver visibly perturbed.

Pavao attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
