The San Bernardino Flight downed the Riverside Wolverines, 7-4, at Wolverines Ballpark. Steve Gottlieb led the way, going 2-for-4 for San Bernardino. Robert Velasquez got the win, improving to 5-4. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 5. Jim Unknown picked up his 1st save of the season.

San Bernardino used a clutch hit from Joe Cluff to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Flight ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

Gottlieb called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
