Sunchasers Win, Howard reaches base 3 times
|
The Sunrise Manor Sunchasers handed the Buckeye Local Panthers a 6-3 defeat at Field of the Sunchasers. Right Fielder Andre Howard starred for Sunrise Manor. He was 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The last-place Sunchasers now have a win-loss record of 27-49.
Howard contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Sunrise Manor in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Howard took a fastball from Salvador Fonzarelli and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Sunchasers to leap in front, 4-1.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Howard.
