The San Antonio Griffins downed the Chuluota Imperials, 20-12, at Imperials Ballpark. The Griffins were led by Jose Rivera. Rivera went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The win went to Roberto Mendoza in relief, making him now 4-2. San Antonio used a clutch hit from Alfredo Sanchez to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Griffins ahead, 13-10. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a doozy.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said San Antonio skipper James Beatty.
