Earthquakes Bump Off Jackpot, 3-2
|
Tom Krasner could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Biloxi Jackpot lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes at Impact Stadium. Jonathan Brey, the winner, goes to 2-1. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts over 6.2 innings. The Earthquakes, at 66-11, have a comfortable 17-game lead in their division.
The Earthquakes grabbed the lead in the top of the second. With one out, Steve Combee hit a 2-run home run off Tom Krasner, putting Ft. Wayne in front, 3-0. For Combee, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Biloxi manager Adrian Mercado.
