The Riverside Wolverines locked up a win at Wolverines Ballpark, knocking off the San Bernardino Flight, 11-6. On the mound for Riverside was right-hander Tyler Layne. He played a major role in the triumph. The winner was Layne. He threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Rodolfo Hernandez. Riverside has now won 6 games in a row.

Paul Adam had a big 3-run home run for the Wolverines in the bottom of the third inning. With Riverside leading 4-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a sinker from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Rodolfo Hernandez and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Wolverines on top, 7-1.

"Tyler was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Riverside manager Chris Rauch.
