The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes locked up a win at Ballpark of Haviland, knocking off the Haviland Thrashers, 8-0. On the mound for Ft. Wayne was right-hander Ray LeCain. He played a major role in the triumph. After today's action, Ft. Wayne sits at 58-11, while Haviland falls to 44-25.

The Thrashers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Earthquakes going into the top of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old right fielder John Hall came to the plate. Hall hit a 2-run double on a 2-1 fastball from Haviland hurler Willie Ocasio. It was Hall's 17th double of the year.

"I like the makeup of this team," said Earthquakes manager Du-sung Moon.
