Earthquakes Earn Late Win
Ft. Wayne beat Riverside at Earthquakes Stadium, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to left fielder Nelson Ziersch. He went 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Ft. Wayne reliever Josh Lienhard was credited with the win. His record goes to 2-0. Melvin Flores took the loss for Riverside. The Earthquakes boast a remarkable 57-10 record.

Chris McCarty was the walk-off hero for Ft. Wayne. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Earthquakes right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

McCarty called the win "an overall solid one."
