Jackpot Get One-Run Win at Sunrise Manor
|
Biloxi picked up a win at Field of the Sunchasers, bumping off the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 4-3. Pitcher Jose Sanches was a major reason the Jackpot emerged victorious. Biloxi is in second place in the Southern Conference West Division with a record of 35-30.
Biloxi used the timely hitting of Guillermo Escobar to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Jackpot on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We ground out the win," said Sanches. "That's all that matters."
