Sunchasers Get One-Run Win at Riverside
The Sunrise Manor Sunchasers finished off the Riverside Wolverines, 5-4. Much of the credit belonged to first baseman Jeff Bernard. Bernard was 2-4 with 2 home runs for the Sunchasers. Lazaro Martinez got the win, improving to 3-5. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Estevan Rios closed it out for Sunrise Manor, earning his 5th save.

Sunrise Manor used a clutch at-bat from Chris Scoville to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Sunchasers ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bernard.
