Griffins Earn Late Win
The San Antonio Griffins grabbed a win, 5-4, over the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes at Griffins Field. San Antonio shortstop Carlos Crespo was 3-5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner was Roberto Mendoza in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Michael Pacheco took the loss. San Antonio, with the win, climbs to 15-50.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With San Antonio trailing 4-3, Crespo hit a changeup from Michael Pacheco for a 2-run single. In the blink of an eye, the Griffins had a walk-off win.

"This place sure got loud," said James Beatty, the San Antonio manager.
