Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Imperials
Led by Josh Grimes, the Chuluota Imperials defeated the San Bernardino Flight, 7-5. Grimes went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Imperials. Chuluota reliever Damian Garriga picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Joey Byler took the loss. The Imperials saw their win-loss record go to 30-33. At the same time, the Flight fell to 23-40.

Chuluota used the timely hitting of Justin Kelley to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Imperials on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said San Bernardino manager Ramiro Mendiola.
