Buckeye Local Scrapes Out 2-1 Win
The Corpus Christi Texans could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Scott Foote into a win. Instead, the Buckeye Local Panthers prevailed, 2-1, in 11 innings. Foote threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. Buckeye Local reliever Brian Sanborn picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jo Uehara was saddled with the loss. The win makes Buckeye Local 10-46, nothing to write home about.

Kolton Commo delivered a big hit for Buckeye Local. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Panthers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Tough loss," said Corpus Christi manager James Beatty. "This one will stick in my craw."
