Earthquakes Take Tight Tangle
Despite a great performance by Riverside left fielder Jim Hamilton, the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes defeated the Wolverines by the score of 7-6 at Earthquakes Stadium. Hamilton was 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. Marcos Patino saved it for Ft. Wayne. The Ft. Wayne win streak is now 5 games.

The Earthquakes beat the Wolverines in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Beau Richardson produced in the bottom of the eighth. Batting against Victor Alatorre, Richardson gave his team the lead, 7-6, when he hit a run-scoring single.

"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Richardson.
