Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Field of the Sunchasers.

The Sunrise Manor Sunchasers pinned a convincing loss on the Riverside Wolverines, 9-3, at Field of the Sunchasers. Manny Placencia was a main factor in the win. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Sunrise Manor. Ryu Masumoto went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. The left-hander struck out 1 and walked 2. With the win, he ups his record to 2-6 this season.

Chris Ortiz, who is tied for 8th in the SC in extra base hits with 41, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Sunrise Manor right fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Sunchasers in front, 2-1.

"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Ortiz.

The 5th-place Sunchasers bumped their record to 22-34.
