The Riverside Wolverines topped the Sunrise Manor Sunchasers, 9-2, in Southern Conference action at Field of the Sunchasers. The standout performance belonged to Riverside pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Leonardo Vazquez. Riverside is now 24-30. Sunrise Manor is 21-33.

Riverside shortstop Jesus Rodriquez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 64th hit of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 4-0.

"Leonardo did what Leonardo does," said Riverside manager Matt Augustus.
